The first Ancient Wisdom Rising gathering was held in Silver Bay, NY, land of the Onondaga peoples, in 2007.

Produced by
Sacred Fire Community,  it was called the Interspiritual Conference, and brought together elders and traditions from the Iroquois Confederacy, Africa, Hawa'ii, Canada, Mexico, Tibet and areas across the U.S.

From the moment the three-day ceremonial fire was lit, attendees were enthralled. The sharing, the wisdom, the music, the dancing, the connection with the sacredness alive in the land...

Here's what Jennifer Means says about her experience.

"...with my heart opened, I know we are all connected, that I am connected with my ancestral heart, with the gifts and work of my life, and forward into the hearts of my children’s children’s children."

Look for Jennifer's story in the December 2010 issue of
Sacred Fire magazine; you can also read it here.
